Home rescued from theft and foreclosure
In an attempt by the property seller to evict the buyer who had failed to record his original grant deed, while also facing a foreclosure, we were able to file a Chapter 13 bankruptcy to stop the foreclosure and a complaint for quite title in the bankruptcy to stop the eviction attempt by the seller, keeping our client in his home and perfecting tile so he could sell the property and cash out his equity before a foreclosure could occur. When a bank levied on our client's bank account for $5,000 to collect a debt already discharged in bankruptcy we sued in the bankruptcy court and settlement the claim quickly for $130,000.
